Russian Airstrikes on Kyiv Data Centers Kill Two, Cut Internet for Thousands

Russian airstrikes on Kyiv overnight Wednesday hit multiple data centers, killing two people and leaving hundreds of thousands of households without internet, according to Ukraine's digitalization ministry. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha condemned the attacks on X, stating the data centers are civilian infrastructure essential for daily life and not military targets. A university was also struck while students were present. Sybiha characterized the strikes as Russian terrorism against civilians, arguing Moscow is resorting to such tactics as it loses on the battlefield, while the UN focuses on peace efforts.
