Ukraine's 'wrecking ball' plan targets Russia's 800,000-troop mobilization

Ukraine has adopted a new military strategy, dubbed the "wrecking ball" plan, to counter anticipated Russian mobilization of up to 800,000 additional troops and inflict heavy losses on Moscow's forces. The strategy includes a counter-offensive near Lyman, fortified defenses near the Belarusian border, and deep-strike campaigns against Russian military infrastructure. Ukrainian forces launched their largest attack on Moscow with 450 drones, and have destroyed Russian aircraft and radars, disrupting logistics and an encirclement operation. Analyst Philip Ingram reports Russian losses exceeding 1,200 soldiers daily, with some days reaching 2,000, and questions Russia's ability to train and equip new recruits. He also notes Ukraine's use of interceptor drones to preserve costly Western missiles, while Russia adapts by camouflaging vehicles and protecting ships far from the front.
