Rubio: Russia-Ukraine war will end through negotiations, not military victory

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the war between Russia and Ukraine will end through negotiated agreements, not a military victory by either side, and that no energy ceasefire deal currently exists. Rubio stated in a WABC radio interview that an energy agreement between Ukraine and Russia has not yet been reached, though the war benefits neither side. He added that President Donald Trump remains ready to help bridge differences wherever opportunities arise. Rubio emphasized that the conflict will not conclude with a decisive military triumph, but through a negotiated settlement. He stressed that the sooner this happens, the fewer lives will be lost and the less destruction will occur.
