Russian drone strikes kill two in Kyiv as Zelensky addresses UN

Russian drone attacks on Kyiv killed at least two people and wounded 23 on Wednesday morning, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky prepared to address the UN General Assembly. The daylight strikes set multiple buildings on fire. Earlier attacks in Zaporizha wounded two men and caused a large fire at a shopping center. Russia's Defense Ministry said it had hit military and energy facilities, logistics centers, and ships overnight. On Tuesday, Zelensky met US President Donald Trump in New York. Ukraine offered to stop striking Russian oil refineries if Russia halts attacks on Ukrainian water and energy infrastructure. Zelensky hopes Trump will organize a trilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
