Russia says it struck Ukrainian defense, energy, logistics and ships

Russia's Defense Ministry said Wednesday its forces struck Ukrainian defense and energy facilities, logistics centers, and ships used by the military in overnight drone attacks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier stated Russia intends to launch another major offensive, according to Reuters. Zelensky, speaking on Telegram after meeting British Prime Minister Andy Burnam on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, said Ukraine is in constant contact with allies to obtain new air defense systems. He cited intelligence indicating Russia is preparing a new large-scale attack on Ukraine. Zelensky also met with US President Donald Trump in New York to discuss ending the war, including a potential bilateral ceasefire agreement covering energy-related targets. He stressed that sanctions on Russia must not be eased while Ukrainians face daily missile and drone threats.
