Since the start of 2026, Russia has launched over 2,100 missiles at Ukraine, including more than 950 ballistic missiles, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Speaking on September 23 at the UN General Assembly in New York, Zelenskyy stated Russia also used 63,000 attack drones of various types, including over 7,700 jet-powered kamikaze drones, to disrupt Ukraine's economy and daily life. Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine fights these attacks around the clock, seven days a week, and questioned whether other nations could withstand such aggression, reiterating that Ukraine did not choose this war.
