Russia strikes Kyiv with ballistic missiles during Zelensky's talks with US lawmakers

Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv while President Volodymyr Zelensky was discussing the "Graham law" and stronger sanctions against Russia with US congressmen, according to Zelensky's statement on social media. Zelensky said the attack occurred during a meeting with US lawmakers Brian Fitzpatrick, Michael Quigley, Marcy Kaptur, Jared Golden, Joe Wilson, and Gregory Meeks. He emphasized that Russia will not end the war without pressure and called for ballistic missile interceptors and implementation of sanctions. The overnight attack on Thursday, September 24, resulted in two deaths and six injuries in Kyiv. Zelensky noted that each such attack happens because pressure on the aggressor has not become total, and thanked both US parties for their readiness to help protect lives.
