Ukraine will keep internet access despite Russian attacks, official says

Ukrainian presidential adviser Serhiy "Flash" Beskrestnov stated that Ukraine will not lose internet access nationwide despite Russian attacks on information network infrastructure, thanks to the country's highly distributed communication channels. He acknowledged that local outages are possible but expects providers to resolve them quickly. Beskrestnov also noted internet service prices may rise to cover infrastructure repair costs, and urged Ukrainians not to succumb to enemy information attacks, recalling previous warnings about food and fuel shortages. Earlier, Ukrainian officials had warned of potential mobile and internet disruptions due to damaged telecom infrastructure. During Russia's massive September 23 attack, strikes targeted data centers, including one in Kyiv, causing outages for providers UTELS and "Pavutyna."
