A Russian airstrike on Izium in Kharkiv Oblast killed one person and injured 14 others, including a child, during a large-scale overnight drone and missile attack on Ukraine on September 23. Ukraine's air defense intercepted 122 of 161 drones launched by Russia. Casualties and damage were also reported in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts, with fires breaking out at fuel stations, warehouses, and a shopping center. In Kyiv, three people were wounded and a Ukrnafta gas station was hit, marking the sixth attack on the company's civilian infrastructure in recent weeks.
