Russian Strikes Target Kyiv Railways: UZ Head Urges Caution and Shares Safety Tips

Russian attacks on Kyiv's railway infrastructure continue, with Ukrainian Railways head Oleksandr Pertsovsky warning that rail facilities in the capital remain under enemy targeting and urging passengers to exercise maximum caution in the coming days. Pertsovsky advised that during any air alert level, people must leave railway premises and move to shelters. Even at the "yellow" alert level, passenger boarding and alighting will occur only from underground areas of the Central Station and at Darnytsia. He stated that if passengers miss their train due to safety concerns, the company will refund 100% of the ticket cost and they can take the next train. The official noted that attack consequences are being promptly addressed, but evacuations during repeated threats cause delays in train departures from Kyiv, urging passengers to monitor online statuses. One railway worker returning from a shift suffered shrapnel wounds and is hospitalized, receiving necessary medical care.
