Ukraine's emergency service reported that a Russian aerial attack killed 8 people and injured 22 others overnight, targeting multiple regions. The strikes hit Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odesa. In Kyiv, two people were killed and eight injured, with damage to over 50 civilian facilities including homes, a post office, a maternity hospital, and a textile plant. A farm attack in Kharkiv killed six and injured 12, while Odesa reported two injuries. Ukraine's air force said it shot down 7 missiles and 220 drones. Russia has been conducting military operations in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, demanding Kyiv abandon joining Western military alliances, which Ukraine views as interference in its affairs.
