Ukrainian Railways delays dozens of trains after massive drone attack on Kyiv

Ukrainian Railways has warned of delays to dozens of trains following a massive drone attack on Kyiv on Wednesday, September 23. The central railway station and Darnytsia station were not damaged, according to the company. During the air raid alert, passenger train movement was not halted, but the situation was closely monitored. Boarding and alighting at stations were conducted through underground passages. Approximately 40 trains are delayed, with the largest deviations affecting routes from central Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia, and the Dnipropetrovsk region. Kyiv City Express electric trains are running with delays of 10-30 minutes. Powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv overnight and in the morning of September 23 amid the Russian attack with jet-propelled drones. According to the Kyiv Military Administration, two people were killed and 22 were injured. Strikes and fires were reported in various districts, including near the central railway station in Solomensky district and near Darnytsia station. Attacks also targeted warehouses, a business center, transport facilities, and other non-residential buildings. In Holosiivsky and Darnytsia districts, Ukrnafta and UPG gas stations were damaged.
