Explosions Rock Kyiv as Officials Warn of Missile Attack

A series of powerful explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital Kyiv early Thursday morning, coinciding with official warnings of a missile attack. The blasts triggered car alarms across the city, according to AFP reporters who heard around ten detonations. The strikes follow a wave of Russian attacks a day earlier that killed at least seven people and caused fires in Kyiv, where two died and over 40 were injured. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha accused Moscow of targeting major data centers to disrupt information flow, while strikes in Donetsk killed four and an attack on an Odessa port killed a ship captain. Russia's Defense Ministry said its strikes in the Kyiv area hit a warehouse and a facility linked to military drone production, also claiming to have targeted similar sites in Odessa and a vessel carrying military cargo.
