Russian drones hit Odesa, damaging homes and injuring two

Explosions were heard in Odesa on September 24 after Russia launched about 15 jet-powered drones at the city and region, damaging residential buildings, local authorities reported. The Ukrainian Air Force had warned of the drones' movement toward the city. Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa regional administration, said private houses and apartment buildings were damaged in several settlements. Two people were injured, and a previously attacked shopping center caught fire. The attack occurred during a broader Russian overnight strike on Ukraine involving Iskander and Zircon missiles and 282 drones, with air defenses downing seven missiles and 219 drones. A hospital roof, a school, four homes, and three cars were also damaged in Odesa.
