Zelensky: Putin is the only leader who wants the war to continue

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the UN General Assembly that Russian President Vladimir Putin is the only world leader who wants the war in Ukraine to continue. Zelensky said Russia gained just over 1,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory this year at a cost of 248 Russian lives per kilometer, while Ukraine has already liberated a significant portion. He stated Ukraine's strikes on Russian refineries target Russia's ability to finance the war, and that Russia has launched 7,700 jet-powered Shahed drones against Ukraine. Zelensky expressed a desire to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying China could influence Russia toward peace more than many others. He also claimed Putin seeks additional Ukrainian cities beyond Donetsk, including Odessa, Kharkiv, and Dnipro, but predicted he will fail.
