Kyiv reels after Russian attack: fires, destruction, and smoke columns hit 16 locations

A Russian overnight attack on Kyiv caused fires, destruction, and smoke columns across the city, with impacts recorded at 16 locations. At least two people were killed and ten injured, with the casualties concentrated in the Solomiansky district. The dead were residents of Solomiansky, where a missile or debris hit a residential building and sparked a fire. Damage was reported in seven districts, including at least 14 high-rise buildings, a school, a clinic, a supermarket, and 25 cars. The Kyiv prosecutor's office opened a war crimes investigation. The attack also damaged warehouses and residential buildings in other districts, with a 62-year-old man treated for acute stress and a 29-year-old foreigner injured. Emergency services are working at the sites.
