U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner are leaving Kyiv after consultations on settling the conflict in Ukraine, with a special train dispatched for their departure. The Ukrainian Railways company confirmed the special train was sent for the diplomats. The visit followed a September 5 Kremlin meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the U.S. delegation, where Putin stressed the need to eliminate root causes of the conflict. After Moscow talks, the envoys traveled to Kyiv via Poland. Kushner stated that President Donald Trump ordered the development of a comprehensive set of measures aimed at resolving the conflict.
