Kyiv talks set terms for Ukraine peace negotiations

Ukraine, France, Germany, and Britain will spend the coming weeks preparing terms for peace negotiations with Russia, following talks in Kyiv on September 6. The preparation involves national security advisors from the four countries, who met with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The Europeans presented their list of demands regarding security guarantees, territories, and sanctions, while the US side reported on Russia's alleged new readiness to negotiate. The advisors agreed to remain in contact and work with Ukraine to propose clear conditions for a lasting peace. This follows Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement about preparing future meetings after the US delegation visited Kyiv and Moscow.
