Kremlin Open to Resuming Ukraine Peace Talks with US

The Kremlin announced on Monday that it does not rule out resuming trilateral peace talks involving Russia, Ukraine, and the United States, though it stated that specific timing and location remain undetermined. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the remarks following a weekend visit to Moscow and Kyiv by U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are seeking to revive stalled negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. Peskov also did not exclude a potential phone call between President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump to discuss the envoys' trip. Peskov praised the American negotiators' peace-building efforts, citing Putin's gratitude for Trump's commitment to the peace process. He added that Moscow had not yet received information about the envoys' contacts with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv on Sunday.
