Russian drone attack sparks fire at Zaporizhzhia's largest mall

A Russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhia overnight caused a major fire at the city's largest shopping mall, which had been closed since early September. The regional military administration head, Ivan Fedorov, confirmed the attack, with no reported casualties. The City Mall, owned by Arricano, was hit by three drones, sparking a blaze with six separate fires covering 700 square meters. The mall had suspended operations for safety reasons following the complete destruction of a nearby Epicenter shopping center. Located near the city center with over 23,400 square meters of retail space, the mall is among 38 Ukrainian shopping centers damaged by Russian attacks since the war began. Other affected sites include Dnipro's Karavan mall and Kyiv's Blockbuster Mall.
