Kremlin open to resuming peace talks with Ukraine and US

The Kremlin announced on Monday it does not rule out resuming trilateral peace talks with Ukraine and the United States, though it said it is too early to specify a venue or dates. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the remarks following a weekend visit to Moscow and Kyiv by U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are seeking to revive stalled negotiations to end the war. Peskov declined to detail the latest U.S. proposals or the hardest outstanding issues. Peskov also said the Kremlin did not rule out a phone call between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump to discuss the envoys' trip, praising the American negotiators' peace-building efforts. Moscow had not yet received information about the envoys' contacts with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv on Sunday.
