US Envoys Call Kyiv Talks 'Substantive' as Ceasefire Holds

US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner held "substantive" talks in Kyiv with Ukrainian officials, continuing a new round of negotiations aimed at ending the conflict with Russia. The American delegation met with Ukrainian representatives and European security officials after a three-hour meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Saturday. Witkoff said the talks would continue "as long as necessary," while Kushner expressed hope the trip identified new paths for progress. A 72-hour temporary ceasefire halting aerial attacks on Kyiv and Moscow is in effect during the diplomatic visit.
