Kyiv hit by 18 ballistic missiles, major fire reported in Solomenskyi district

A major fire is raging in Kyiv following a Russian missile strike, with 18 ballistic missiles launched at the Ukrainian capital in the last half hour. Explosions have been reported in the city and surrounding region. A warehouse in Kyiv's Solomenskyi district was hit, sparking the fire, with another series of blasts occurring 15-20 minutes later. Strikes also targeted industrial sites near Boryspil, as well as areas including Brovary, Vasylkiv, and Bucha, using Zircon missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones. The attack follows the expiration of a three-day moratorium on strikes on Kyiv, linked to visits by US negotiators. Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy had warned of a difficult night for the city on September 7-8.
