Ukrainian forces strike Russian oil refineries and drone launch sites
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Monday that Ukrainian forces struck Russian oil-processing facilities, a drone launch site, and a target in the Black Sea in response to Russian attacks on Ukraine. Zelenskyy said strikes hit an oil refinery in Russia's Ryazan region, long-range attacks targeted facilities in the Perm region and Tatarstan, and a site in the Kursk region used for storing and launching attack drones. Russia's Defence Ministry reported its own strikes on Ukrainian port infrastructure and vessels. The strikes occurred as US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner held talks in Kyiv, following meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, while a 72-hour ceasefire halting airstrikes on capitals was in effect.
