Russia Strikes Ukraine with Shahed Drones and Guided Bombs, Kharkiv Hit
On the evening of September 6, Russia is conducting a combined attack on Ukraine using Shahed drones and guided aerial bombs (KABs), with a drone strike reported in Kharkiv. Air Force warnings detailed Shahed drones heading toward Kharkiv, Sumy, and other regions, alongside KAB launches targeting Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhye oblasts. Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov confirmed a drone hit near apartment buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district, damaging about 20 windows, with no reports of casualties. Air raid alerts were active across multiple oblasts, including Kharkiv, Zaporizhye, Donetsk, and parts of Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions. The attack follows earlier warnings of tactical aviation activity in the eastern direction.
