Russian strike on Odesa market injures guard, damages pavilions

Russian forces struck a market on the outskirts of Odesa overnight, damaging trade pavilions and injuring a 58-year-old security guard. The attack targeted the 7th Kilometer market, according to Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper. The guard was hospitalized in moderate condition. Market deputy director Irina Tkach said administrative premises and facilities near the toilets were damaged, and the employee underwent surgery. The strike was part of a massive overnight Russian attack on Ukraine involving dozens of missiles and 166 drones, primarily targeting Odesa and Kyiv regions. Ukrainian air defenses reported downing two ballistic missiles, 31 cruise missiles, and 142 drones. Kyiv was hit by ballistic missiles, causing destruction in at least five districts, with at least two people killed and ten injured.
