Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev is traveling to the United States on Wednesday for talks with Trump administration representatives, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. The visit, agreed upon with President Vladimir Putin, aims to continue Russia-US dialogue and peace-making efforts, following up on a Kremlin meeting between Putin and US representatives earlier this month. Two sources familiar with the preparations confirmed the high-level discussions to Reuters. The talks come amid ongoing diplomatic tensions, with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar separately reiterating India's concerns over Russia sanctions legislation to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
