Iran tells UN: We have been the victims of terrorism

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded Wednesday at the UN General Assembly to Donald Trump's prior accusation that Iran is the "bully of the Middle East," stating "We have been the victims of terrorism." The US delegation walked out during his speech. Pezeshkian denounced the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in the offensive's early stages and the deaths of dozens of children in a school attack, adding that scientists, women, and innocent children have been murdered. He asserted Iran's right to self-defense against US and Israeli aggression, declaring Iran has never started a war and will never surrender. He also defended Iran's nuclear program for peaceful purposes, arguing nuclear technology should not be an exclusive privilege, and noted that while Israel possesses nuclear bombs, inspectors are in Iran.
