Russian strikes on Kyiv close three bridges, causing gridlock
Russian airstrikes on Kyiv partially or fully closed three of six road bridges over the Dnipro River on Friday, causing major traffic jams, according to Mayor Vitalii Klitschko. One bridge was hit again in the afternoon. A drone strike on a residential building killed one person, President Volodymyr Zelensky said, with at least four others injured. Russia launched over 100 drones against Kyiv and eight regions overnight, nearly half jet-powered and harder to intercept. Russia claimed to have downed 646 Ukrainian drones. Ukraine's foreign minister said Kyiv received separate truce proposals from the US, India, Turkey, and Egypt, covering energy infrastructure and Black Sea grain ships.
