Ukraine can answer Russia's Dnipro bridge strikes by targeting the Crimean Bridge
Russia has begun systematically striking bridges across the Dnipro River in Kyiv, fulfilling a long-held desire of pro-war Russian bloggers, who are celebrating the resulting traffic jams on the city's left bank. Ukrainian blogger and businessman Roman Shraik notes that Ukraine has its own corresponding ambition: strikes on the Crimean Bridge. He argues that successful drone attacks on Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov and on Kerch port demonstrate Ukrainian drones can reach the bridge itself. Shraik suggests that President Zelensky's statement that Putin has removed all restrictions on strikes against Ukraine eliminates the previous mutual deterrence factor. While drones cannot destroy the bridge, they could damage its roadway enough to seriously restrict traffic, which would be sufficient at this stage.
