Russian drone attack in Gostomel injures four, including 8-year-old girl
A Russian drone attack on Gostomel in the Kyiv region on the evening of October 2 injured four people, including an 8-year-old girl; no fatalities were reported. The most seriously injured was a 66-year-old man with body burns and a closed abdominal injury, who was hospitalized. The girl sustained shrapnel wounds to her leg, while two others had minor injuries treated on site. Warehouses and production facilities caught fire during the attack. The same day, Russian forces again struck Kyiv, hitting the Southern Bridge, which was already closed to traffic. A previous attack on October 1 had damaged the bridge, and a nighttime strike on October 2 targeted it again. A separate attack on a high-rise in the Darnytskyi district killed one person and injured two others, contributing to a transport collapse in the capital.
