Kyiv closes bridges after Russian attack, reroutes buses and trolleybuses
Kyiv has fully closed the Southern Bridge and restricted traffic on the Paton and Metro bridges following a Russian attack on October 2, forcing changes to bus and trolleybus routes. The Southern Bridge is completely shut in both directions, while the Paton Bridge is closed from right to left bank, and the Metro Bridge has one lane limited. Buses No. 22 and 91 now use the Darnytsky Bridge, as do buses No. 51, 55, 115, and 118-D. Trolleybuses No. 43 and 50 run shortened routes, and bus No. 1-M operates off schedule. The overnight strike also damaged a 25-story residential building in the Darnytsky district, with casualty information still being clarified. In the Holoseyevsky district, shrapnel damaged windows and cars, but no injuries or fires were reported.
