Russia Strikes Kyiv's Southern Bridge for Third Time
Russia struck Kyiv's Southern Bridge over the Dnepr River for a third time, according to Mayor Vitali Klõtško, who reported the attack on Telegram. The strike damaged the bridge's support pillars, railings, road surface, and concrete metro barriers, prompting authorities to cut power to the metro line and halt traffic. A second attack on the same bridge occurred early Friday morning, following an initial strike by two drones the previous day that caused no critical damage to support structures. Drone debris also fell in the Holossijivi district, breaking windows and damaging cars, though no injuries or fires were reported. The repeated targeting of this key infrastructure highlights ongoing Russian efforts to disrupt Kyiv's transport network. Emergency services have been dispatched to the site after each reported hit.
