Kyiv metro across Southern Bridge can resume under one condition, says Klitschko
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said metro service across the Southern Bridge could resume under one condition: after receiving an expert assessment of the structure's condition from scientific institutes. The capital's Defense Council discussed transport across Dnieper River bridges on October 2. The metro is ready to resume service during yellow alert levels following recent Russian attacks, but only after the Infrastructure Ministry obtains expert conclusions on the bridge's condition. Russia attacked the Southern Bridge twice with drones on October 1, with strikes near support structures. A metro train was crossing during the attack, but no passengers or the driver were injured. A second strike occurred on October 2 morning.
