On the night of October 2, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with over 100 drones, with air defenses shooting down most of them. The attack caused damage and casualties in Kyiv. Ukraine's air force reported 108 drones launched from four directions, including Shahed and Gerbera types. By 8:00 AM, 88 drones were shot down or suppressed, with strikes recorded at 11 locations and debris falling at 5 sites. In Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, a 25-story residential building was damaged, killing one person and injuring two others. The Yuzhnyi Bridge was hit again after two attacks on October 1, and debris in Holosiivskyi district damaged windows and cars.
