A 14-year-old boy, Illya Goncharov, was mourned in Vyshhorod on Friday, October 2, after being killed in a Russian strike on a private home on the night of September 30. Family, friends, and classmates attended the ceremony. Illya's family, originally from Sumy region, had moved to the Kyiv area seeking safety from constant Russian attacks. Relatives remembered him as a bright boy passionate about motorcycles, who cared for his bikes and dreamed of owning a Kawasaki. At the family's request, motorcyclists formed a procession, revving their engines in his honor. A reporter noted another child's life cut short by "inhumane" acts, calling for eternal memory of Illya.
