Apple's iPhone Duo promo image accused of being photoshopped
Apple's newly announced iPhone Duo is facing accusations that its promotional images were digitally altered, after a viral post suggested the device's 7.6-inch screen would require impossibly large hands to hold. The controversy began September 9 when Apple unveiled the foldable iPhone Duo. Tech analyst Christopher Fryant posted comparison images on X, amassing over 5 million views, with many users joking the phone appears designed for "Slender Man" due to its apparent width of 117.8 mm versus the iPhone 18 Pro Max's 78 mm. Samsung's mobile division mocked the launch, while Duolingo's CEO also joined the banter. Apple has not officially responded, though CEO John Ternus defended the foldable design as a compromise between large screens and pocket portability. The device launches October 23 in Vietnam starting at 64.99 million dong.
