Apple's first foldable iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro leaks reveal specs and prices

Apple is expected to unveil its first foldable smartphone, potentially named iPhone Duo, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series at its upcoming event, with last-minute leaks revealing key specifications and price increases. The foldable device may start at $1,999, while the Pro models could see significant internal upgrades. The foldable iPhone Duo reportedly features a book-style design with a 4:3 aspect ratio, a 5.49-inch external display, and a 7.76-inch internal flexible panel with a nearly invisible crease. It would include Touch ID instead of Face ID, support the Apple Pencil, and use a titanium hinge with an aluminum chassis, measuring 4.5mm unfolded. It is expected to run on the 2nm A20 Pro chip with 12GB of RAM, a 5,500 mAh battery, dual 48MP rear cameras, and no physical SIM slot. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are said to maintain similar external designs but add a variable aperture mechanism to the Pro Max's main camera sensor, larger batteries (up to 5,567 mAh), and new color options like Dark Cherry. Pre-orders for the Pro models are rumored to begin September 12, with deliveries starting September 18, though availability of the foldable device may be limited to select markets in October.
