Apple iPhone Duo enters wide foldable market with Galaxy Z Fold8 and Xiaomi 18 Fold as rivals
Apple has unveiled its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, a wide-style foldable entering a market with few direct competitors. The device features a 5.4-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch inner panel. The iPhone Duo competes mainly with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8 and Xiaomi's 18 Fold, which have similar wide formats. The Duo offers stylus support and an under-display camera, but is thicker and heavier than the Samsung model, with fewer camera specs than the Xiaomi. The wide foldable category is emerging as a middle ground between flip and book-style designs. Huawei's Pura X Max is a similar option but unavailable in most markets, leaving Apple and Samsung as the primary choices in North America.
