Apple's iPhone Duo: 11 key changes beyond the folding design

Apple launched the iPhone Duo, its first foldable phone, marking the biggest iPhone redesign in nearly 20 years. The device features two screens, including a bendable internal display, and introduces numerous other changes beyond the obvious folding design. The internal display is the largest ever on an iPhone at 7.6 inches, compared to 6.9 inches on the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and uses a nano-texture matte finish to reduce reflections and hide hinge creases. The external display has an unusual D-shape with mixed curved and sharp corners, requiring software adjustments to move status icons. The software experience is notably seamless, mirroring content from the outside display onto the larger internal screen when opened, creating an illusion that makes users forget the two displays are separate.
