Apple launches foldable iPhone Duo; Samsung mocks debut on social media

Apple launched its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, on September 9, prompting rival Samsung to mock the debut on social media with comments like "reheating our leftovers." The device starts at $1,999, with pre-orders opening October 16 and sales on October 23. The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display, a 5.4-inch outer screen, a titanium frame, a precision hinge, and Apple's A20 Pro chip. Samsung, which has sold foldable phones for years, also posted jabs such as "So far, so same" and used the hashtag #ItsTimeToSwitch. Apple also unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro models, Apple Watch Series 12, Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5 at the event. It marked the first major product presentation by new CEO John Ternus, who succeeded Tim Cook earlier this month.
