Apple launches iPhone Duo, its first foldable, in India from ₹2,99,900
Apple launched its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, at the Apple Event 2026, entering the foldable market with a device featuring dual displays and a titanium build. The phone starts at ₹2,99,900 in India, with pre-orders opening October 16 and sales beginning October 23. The iPhone Duo includes a 5.4-inch outer display and 7.6-inch inner display, an A20 Pro processor, up to 2TB storage, and a 48MP rear camera. It introduces features like Split View for multitasking, Smart Take for AI-assisted photos, and Apple Pencil support, with iOS 27 redesigned for the foldable form factor. The device enters a growing market projected to exceed 100 million cumulative units by 2026, with Apple expected to capture 25 percent market share, trailing Samsung's predicted 38 percent. The iPhone Duo also offers features like Kid Cue for photographing children and Duo FaceTime for shared conversations.
