Apple reveals iPhone 18 Pro battery sizes after EU labeling rule

Apple has disclosed battery capacities for its new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, driven by a European Union regulation requiring detailed energy labeling. The iPhone 18 Pro contains a 4056 mAh battery, while the Pro Max features a 5391 mAh unit. Compared to the previous generation, the Pro model's battery is 1.45 percent larger, while the Pro Max saw an 11.8 percent increase. The EU versions include physical SIM card slots, so batteries in non-European models may be slightly larger. Both phones received an A energy efficiency rating, a B for durability, and a C for repairability. The Pro Max offers up to 62 hours of use per charge, versus 52 hours for the Pro. Apple states both batteries withstand 1000 charge cycles before dropping below 80 percent capacity. The company has not yet published the required label for its new iPhone Duo, likely because pre-orders begin October 16.
