Apple announced that the Japanese version of its AI-powered voice assistant "Siri AI" will launch in October, with the English beta version available starting September 9. Siri AI is an updated version of Siri, built on the multimodal AI model "Apple Foundation Model" developed with Google, and integrates the "Apple Intelligence" AI feature. It combines on-device processing with Apple's Private Cloud Compute to answer user queries while ensuring privacy and security, enabling searches across messages, emails, and photos, as well as recognizing on-screen content. Apple Intelligence, the foundation of Siri AI, will launch with iOS 27 on September 14, supporting 16 languages including Japanese, and will be available on devices such as the newly announced iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro series, and Macs and iPads with M1 chips or later. Some features may not be available in certain regions or languages.
