Apple unveils iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max with variable aperture camera
Apple announced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on September 10, featuring a variable aperture camera and the new A20 Pro processor. Pre-orders begin September 12, with a release date of September 18. The camera includes a 48-megapixel Fusion main camera with a first-ever variable aperture for iPhones, featuring six laser-cut blades for automatic depth-of-field and light adjustment. The A20 Pro processor uses 2-nanometer technology, offering 50% more memory bandwidth and double the AI processing power of its predecessor. Pricing starts at 219,800 yen for the iPhone 18 Pro 256GB model and 239,800 yen for the Pro Max. Both models support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and include the new Siri AI assistant with iOS 27.
