Apple unveils foldable iPhone Duo and new watches in Cupertino
Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, at its "Surprise and Shine" event in Cupertino, alongside new watches, earbuds, and AI features. The device features a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR display that adapts its interface when opened. The iPhone Duo automatically switches between external and internal screens, with iOS 27 enabling multitasking across two pages. It uses Touch ID on the side button for unlocking. Apple also introduced the A20 Pro chip with AI accelerators, plus new Apple Watch models with audio intelligence features. AirPods 5 were announced with improved noise cancellation starting at $129. However, Siri AI will not launch immediately in the European Union due to Digital Markets Act rules, with initial English-only support and other languages arriving in October.
