Apple unveils iPhone 18 Pro and first foldable iPhone Ultra at Apple Park event
Apple is presenting its new iPhone models, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone Ultra, at an event titled "Surprise and Shine" from Apple Park in California today, Wednesday, September 9th. The event begins at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, which is 8:00 p.m. in Greece, and will be streamed live on Apple's website, YouTube, and Apple TV. This is the first keynote for new CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on September 1st. The company has changed its strategy, postponing the base iPhone 18 until spring 2027 to focus exclusively on the Pro line and the foldable model. The iPhone 18 Pro (6.3-inch screen) and Pro Max (6.9-inch screen) are rumored to feature the new 2nm A20 Pro chip and a variable aperture camera lens. The foldable iPhone Ultra, expected to cost around $1,999, will have a book-fold design with a 5.5-inch external screen and 7.8-inch internal screen, and may use Touch ID instead of Face ID.
