Apple launches iPhone Duo foldable from 2,369 euros, raises iPhone 18 Pro prices

Apple has launched the iPhone Duo, its first foldable device, starting at 2,369 euros in Italy, while also introducing the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max with increased prices. The event marks John Ternus's first public appearance as CEO, with heavy emphasis on Apple Intelligence. The foldable iPhone Duo features a nanotexture finish to reduce the visibility of the central screen crease, a redesigned opening mechanism, and a front camera placed under the internal display. It uses the A20 Pro chip, has two 48-megapixel rear sensors, relies on Touch ID instead of Face ID, and works exclusively with eSIM. iOS 27 has been adapted for the larger screen, supporting dual-app usage, with battery life up to 31 hours on the internal display and 44 hours on the external one. Pre-orders begin October 16, with availability from October 23. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at 1,489 euros for 256GB, reaching 2,989 euros for 2TB, while the Pro Max starts at 1,639 euros and tops out at 3,139 euros. Apple Watch Series 12 starts at 459 euros, and the Ultra 4 at 909 euros. New features include Readiness for daily health scoring, Audio Intelligence for sound recognition, and Live Rewind for conversation transcription, with end-to-end encryption.
