iPhone Duo's folding animation sets it apart from other foldables

Apple has unveiled its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, featuring a unique fold-to-screen transition animation and matching audio retuning that no other foldable phone offers. The animation blurs and stretches the interface as it moves between the outer and inner displays, creating a continuous effect, while the system automatically retunes sound based on speaker distance. This contrasts with the abrupt screen cuts on Samsung, Google, and other rivals, though Samsung experimented with a less refined version in 2021. The iPhone Duo also includes features like Duo Preview for camera framing, Kid Cue for children, and Dual Capture for FaceTime, alongside a 7.6-inch inner display, 48-megapixel cameras, and a hinge with over 100 components.
