Apple hikes iPhone prices in India by up to 41%

The increases, which followed Apple's September event introducing the foldable iPhone Duo, far exceeded US price rises of 10 to 21 percent. Apple cited rising memory and storage chip costs driven by AI demand for data centers. India, a fast-growing market for Apple, faces additional import duties and an 18 percent goods and services tax, pushing prices well above US levels. The iPhone Air's one terabyte variant jumped 41 percent to 224,900 rupees, drawing criticism on social media.
